Abigail Shannon was an officer on the Pacific Glade police force and the former girlfriend of Nico Sanchez. After the disappearance of Olivia Marconi, she stepped into her role as the new Sheriff. She was killed by an alternate universe version of Timothy Lancaster.

Overview[]

The Wendigo[]

  • Abigail is a new recruit working the front desk at the police station when Janine Zimmerman brings the news that Olivia Marconi has gone missing.

Devour[]

  • When the quake rips through the Pacific Glade Police Station, Abigail is knocked down and injured. Nico Sanchez helps bring her to the hospital in the midst of all the chaos.

Fallen Night[]

  • In the months following the quake, Nico helps drive Abigail to work after her injury, and the two form a close friendship.

A Neverglades Halloween[]

  • Nico and Abigail have since started a relationship, and they attend the Inspector's Halloween party together. A terrified Abigail barely manages to escape with her own life when the Semblance murders Nico in front of her.

Family Plot[]

  • Abigail is scared when the walking corpse of Nico Sanchez appears at the police station after being dead for months. She alerts Marconi to his presence and gets the sheriff on the Semblance's trail.

Fear No Evil[]

  • Abigail partners with Sheriff Marconi when the police force goes to confront the Semblance in the world behind the doors. An entity made of snakes appears (reflecting Abigail's personal fear) and forces the two to hide. Abigail pretends to split up to go help the other officers, but instead tails Marconi when she and the Semblance (disguised as Janine) head into the woods. She helps Ruth Hannigan take down the snake entity and is one of the surviving officers in the final battle against the Semblance.

The Third Man[]

  • Abigail has since taken on the role of Sheriff in the wake of Marconi's disappearance. She brings an unsolved jewelry heist case to the attention of Zachary Atwater, encouraging him to pursue his goal of making detective.

Green Light[]

  • Seeing how stressed Lola Velasquez is after the new set of quakes in town, Abigail invites Lola to her office and tries to reassure her that things will be okay, giving her a day off to rest if she needs it.

Man of the Law[]

  • Abigail arrives at St. Florence hospital with Atwater and Ruth, helping Lola and Georgina Prewitt turn the tables on FBI agent Norman Clancy. She agrees to enter the multiverse to find the missing pieces of the Inspector and Marconi, and tells Clancy that once the Inspector wakes up, he's free to take the entity into custody.

On the Fringe of What We Know[]

  • Abigail accompanies Lola into the Nightmare World, where they are quickly rescued by CAPRA agents and brought to a fortified underground bunker. The two cops escape after an alternate version of Timothy Lancaster reveals that he plans to use the Ferryman to open a door, hoping to escape their hellish dimension and occupy the prime timeline. Abigail manages to wake the comatose Ferryman with a non-lethal gunshot, but is blasted by Lancaster in the process. She, Lola, the Ferryman, and Lancaster enter a portal onto a snowy mountain, where Lancaster is fatally shot by a stranger who turns out to be Olivia Marconi.

Final Rest[]

  • Abigail is taken into an ice cave on the mountain, where Elisa Monteiro attends to her injuries. Her wounds are too great, however, and she wakes up only one more time before passing away.

Journey's End[]

  • The Pacific Glade police force attends Abigail's funeral after reality has mostly stabilized. Lola speaks by her graveside, praising Abigail for being one of the best sheriffs they could have asked for, and reminding the gathered crowd that not everyone lives to see the difference they make in the world.
