Notes[]

  • The title of this story is a reference to a quote from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, as well as a prominent line used in Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House: "Journeys end in lovers meeting." It also refers to the end of the Neverglades series.
  • Just like the first story, “Lost Time,” the very last story in the series is narrated by Mark Hannigan.
  • A parody version of this story, "Vacation's End," was featured in The Neverglades: Multiverse Chronicles.
