Rory Hannigan was a resident of Pacific Glade and the son of Mark and Ruth Hannigan. His counterpart in the Everglades is a dog named Growly.

To find Rory Hannigan from the Moonverse, look here.

Overview[]

Remember Me[]

  • Rory is particularly affected by Marcy McKenna's memory alterations and makes several outbursts at the dinner table about suspected murderer John Whedon.

Lucid Dreams[]

  • Rory is spooked when he sees an apparition of his grandfather, Peter Lambrecht, while attending Peter's wake. He has a tough time dealing with the reality of Peter's death and seeks out comfort from Mark after he gets back from CAPRA headquarters.

Devour[]

  • During the Pacific Glade quake, Rory is struck in the head by falling debris and killed. His death awakens Mark's dark side, which leads to his massacre of the CAPRA scientists.

Fallen Night[]

  • Rory is laid to rest alongside his father at Locklear Cemetery. His brother, Stephen, leaves behind a beloved action figure on his grave.

A Neverglades Halloween[]

  • Before the Semblance disappears back into its own dimension, it takes on the form of Rory to taunt Ruth Hannigan.

Family Plot[]

  • Rory's corpse is reanimated by the Semblance in an effort to kill Ruth Hannigan. He returns to death when the Semblance is defeated by Olivia Marconi and Zachary Atwater.

Final Rest[]

  • After death, Rory lives in the golden city with the echo of his father Mark. He is often visited by Janine Zimmerman, who takes Marconi to see him when a piece of herself gets stuck in that dimension. It is implied that they share a happy existence together.

Multiverse Incarnations[]

Dark Side of the Moon[]

  • Along with his father, Mark, Rory was one of the only survivors of the monster invasion that destroyed Pacific Glade and (most likely) the rest of the world in the Moonverse timeline. He eventually crosses over to the “prime” timeline and starts a new life with the residents of Pacific Glade who live there.

All Things End[]

  • In this story’s universe, Rory is an ordinary pre-teen just like his prime timeline counterpart. He stands by his father after Mark comes back from the dead, although ultimately comes to accept his death with the help of his mother Ruth.

Tourist Trap[]

  • In this story’s universe, Rory is transported behind the rift (along with the rest of Pacific Glade) in the Inspector’s effort to quarantine the town and keep the swarm of time-eaters from escaping. He is killed when the Sightless razes their dimension into nothing.

The Old Block[]

  • In this story's universe, Rory is a grown man who followed in his dad's footsteps and became a detective, although his family is concerned that he's overworking as a coping mechanism. When his brother Stephen's twin children go missing, Rory heads to their old home to investigate, only to get pulled into the Dark by his father's new identity, the Other.
