“Would anyone remember me when this film torpedoed my career? Would I have anyone left on my side?”

The fifth story in The Neverglades: Multiverse Chronicles.
A famous director is thrilled when the opportunity of a lifetime crosses his desk: a script about the Inspector’s world-saving adventures, penned by the Inspector himself. But executive meddling threatens to derail the project, and when the dust settles, will any part of the Inspector’s original vision survive?
Characters[]
- Steve Hannigan (Director)
- The Inspector (Screenwriter)
- Laura Landon (Talent Scout)
- Zack Atwood (Actor)
- Martina (Assistant)
- The Chronicler
Settings[]
- Hollywood Studios
- The Chronicler's Study
Notes[]
- This universe’s main point of divergence was Stephen Hannigan gaining directorial fame, spurred on by a little help from the Chronicler. The Inspector’s world-saving exploits were also made more public in this timeline.
- Steve’s nickname and backstory is an intentional mislead to make readers think he’s actually Steven Spielberg. Steve’s movies reference both stories from the original Neverglades series as well as iconic Spielberg films. Remember Me is a proxy of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and Devour is a proxy of Jaws.
- Zack Atwood and his co-stars (Duke Highland and Natasha Pasternak) are recruited by Meta Mark to take on the Sightless in “Blood Moon.”
