In the lawless desert of the American West, a cowboy named Hannigan fights otherworldly creatures alongside the mysterious Gunslinger. Their hunt takes them to the ghost town of Blacktooth Valley, where an entity called the Blight seems to have caused the disappearance of all the townsfolk. Can this unlikely duo stop the Blight before it brings another town to ruin?

- This universe’s main point of divergence was Mark Hannigan being born in the Wild West era as opposed to modern day Pacific Glade. The Inspector fights alongside him in his Gunslinger alias, who made an appearance in the Neverglades story “A Thousand Glistening Threads.”
- The Gunslinger is recruited by Meta Mark in “Blood Moon” to help take down his own dark counterpart, the Sightless.
